DIY Window Grids

We recently completed a little DIY project with a big impact (my favorite sort of project!) in our living room. For years, I have been contemplating a way to add more character to the large picture window in that room. I have thought about the right design for this house and debated many patterns. I love old rooms full of books and character that remain true to the style of house that feel at home in the setting where the house is located. For that reason, we decided that a craftsman style grid would be our best option. To get an idea of what the grids would look like, we used the highly technical method of scotch taping some MDF trim to the windows. Once I saw what they could look like, I knew we had to move ahead with this project. Billy brainstormed ways to attach the trim to the windows and came up with the perfect solution of using screen pins.
